Arizona Rancher Charged with Murder near US-Mexico Border

Arizona rancher Jack Chiong has been held on a $1 million bond after being charged in connection with the killing of an undocumented immigrant near the US-Mexico border. Chiong is accused of shooting and killing Francisco Javier Dominguez-Rivera, an immigrant from El Salvador, on August 15th. Chiong claims he was acting in self-defense, stating that Dominguez-Rivera was threatening him with a machete. He has been charged with second-degree murder and is being held on a $ 1 million bond at the Pima County jail.
